The Problem
People of 65+ age group sometimes feel lonely, demotivated and started loosing hope from life. They face difficulties in coping up with advance technologies of changing world
The Goal
Design an app specially for senior citizens, which is easy to operate and where they can watch videos, read or listen books on their favourite topic and inspiring too for its users
Responsibility
Conducting interviews, paper and digital wireframing, low and high-fidelity prototyping, conducting usability studies, accounting for accessibility, and iterating on designs
My Role
Morale (Muskan Soni)
I led the Product Design - User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) - of this project. I also receive constructive feedback from others two fellow designers in order to improve and get other perspectives about what I was designing.

Process Followed
Research
Senior isolation is one of the biggest health threats to elderly Americans that is often overlooked. It can have devastating effects physically, emotionally, and mentally.
Of those 65+ years old, 18% live alone, and 43% reported feeling lonely regularly.
1 out of 7 people with Alzheimer’s live alone, and loneliness is linked to a 40% incre- ase in a senior developing dementia.
Friends and relatives may pass away, and social circles becomes much smaller. Perhaps your elderly loved one has lost a spouse and is less likely to want to leave the house or feel out of place without their other half. This can leave them feeling not only socially isolated but also emotionally isolated.

Paper Wireframes
Throughout this project, my sketchbook proved invaluable time and time again. Being able to quickly iterate with my sketchbook, I could create and alter ideas with the stroke of a pen. This enabled me to get instant feedback from my peers on marketing and product concepts, allowing me to iterate on concepts rapidly

Digital Wireframes
As the initial design phase continued, I made sure to base screen designs on feedback and findings from the user research.

Usability Study
I conducted two rounds of usability studies. Findings from the first study helped guide the designs from wireframes to mockups. The second study used a high-fidelity prototype and revealed what aspects of the mockups needed refining.

takeaways
During the course of creating this project, I learned valuable lessons in designing responsive website or app and most importantly how to empathize with users. Because empathy is the key term in UX world. I learned that the first ideas for the website or app are only the beginning of the process. Usability studies and peer feedback influenced each iteration of the website and app designs. Understanding the constraints and opportunities in app or website designing helped me frame my design decisions and strategy. Overall, this project taught me how to design across numerous screens.
